Two quick walks produced nothing new, although both were enjoyable. The usual suspects were about, yestreday was slightly quieter as it was a bit more windy, the highlight being 1 COMMON BUZZARD. Today was busier a nice flock of 20 LINNETS whizzed by and there were reasonable numbers of REDPOLLS in the orchard. Several MARSH TITS called in the woods and around 20 COMMON GULLS patrolled various fields. 2 COMMON BUZZARDS could be seen distantly and a SPARROWHAWK was over Digdog Lane.

The sparrowhawk and common gull shots are interesting. I wonder how he lost his feathers?:)
Alan, just a couple of weeks now and we'll be listening out for Chiffies and blackcaps, until then its a bit of the same old stuff :-)
Sikorki uwielbiam, a zdjęcia ptaków w locie są świetne. Dobrze, że brak piór w skrzydłach ostatniemu nie utrudnia mu lotu. Pozdrawiam. *** I love tits, and photos of birds in flight are great. Well, that lack of feathers in the wings, the latter does not hinder his flight. Yours.
Great story and photos, as always, Alan!
Beautiful shots, Alan! Your songbirds have great color! Love the blue in your flight shots, too!
Marsh Tits are scarce with us now Alan. I have to travel further north around Arnside and Silverdale AONB to find them with any certainty. I haven't had my first moths yet, in fact I need to get the trap out of the garage and dust it down ready. I tell a lie, I have a Herald hibernating in the garage!
The Sparrowhawk did look like it had been in the wars!
Oh dear, I'm slipping and only just realised I missed your last post :-( So glad I spotted it, the Goldcrest is just gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!!! It's so difficult to get a good photo with them always on the move, you really cracked it.
Buena y variada serie Alan!!
Saludos!!
