Feb 5th - another quick walk!!

Overnight snow, just in case you hadn't noticed!! meant a picturesque walk mid-morning, 4 ROBINS argued over a patch of clear ground under a tree in Bull and Birches, a few COMMON GULLS drifted around Park Field. Surprisingly there was still a small patch that was ice free on the lake, again surrounded by MALLARDS.
Small birds were hard to find, the odd FIELDFARE went over as did around 40 LAPWING, the highlight though was a PEREGRINE perched 100 or more yards away, I tried some pics but the results as you can weren't the best. It was an enjoyable walk but not loads to report.
