What a Beauty!!!
The week was fairly quiet, again a couple of very short walks produced nothing much but today, while I was eating lunch Bec called out that she had a strange butterfly in the garden seconds later I was watching a CAMBERWELL BEAUTY!! in my garden!! Amazing I saw one in Poland in 2004 but never in this country, unfortunately it stayed only 5 minutes but that was just long enough for a few pics :-)

Excellent find of such a stunning butterfly , congratulations .
Alan ,
Sightings like that do not come around very often , after several recorded 2006/7 , just a single in April 2008 in Barming Woods , Maidstone since , according to Kent BC .
To get shots too , brilliant .
Well done to Bec for spotting it .
What a treat! That's looks like one of our Mourning Cloaks here. Beautiful butterfly shots! Glad you got to spend a little time with this visitor even if it were only 5 minutes. :)

Very well done Alan, i'm suitably jealous! I expect you'll be buying your wife a bunch of flowers at least for spotting such a cracker.
